I am a lot like you. I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, and a sister. I work full time. I have church and other volunteer commitments. I am busy. I am thriving, vibrant, and happier than ever.
But it hasn't always been that way. In 2002 I woke up one day and realized I was obese. And my kids were too old to blame it on them. I was tired. I had no energy to work out and when I tried, I couldn't do much. I hurt. I was depressed. I was using food for comfort and I didn't know how to break the cycle.
Through lots of hard work, lots of trial and error, and lots of prayer and persistence, I was able to get off 80 pounds. And I've kept it off, with a few hiccups, for 18 years.
I used to end my story there, but it's not the end. As I moved past 40 years old it got a lot harder! The cravings were real and old bad habits with food came creeping back in. What I realize now, is that the hormonal changes after our mid-30s, and especially after 45, are no joke!
But I also know that just as exercise wasn't the answer in my 20s, it's not the answer now. It's the food. When I eat good, I feel good. I have helped dozens of people get better. From obesity, diabetes, and heart disease, to menopause, disordered eating, and depression, I've helped people just like you heal the body and mind with nutritional therapy. When you eat the right foods, in the right amounts, for your body, you can feel good too.
When we FEEL good, we become unstoppable.
